When we first set out to create our online bullion store, we wanted to make precious metals investment as simple, transparent, and accessible as possible. Over the past few months, we've learned so much from our customers. Every phone call, every question, and every piece of feedback has helped shape the latest evolution of our store. Today, we're excited to share what's new and why we made these changes.
Listening to What Matters
One of the most common scenarios we hear from customers starts with a simple phone call: "I'm interested in investing in gold and silver." It's always an exciting conversation, but there's one question we inevitably have to ask: "How much are you looking to invest?" For many, that's not the easiest question to answer on the spot. It's personal, and we understand that.
So, we asked ourselves: How can we make this process more comfortable? How can we give our customers the tools to explore their options in their own time, from the privacy of their own homes?
Keeping Pricing Transparent
Another major update is our dynamic pricing feature. Precious metals prices can change frequently, and we know how important it is for investors to stay informed. In the past, there was no shopping cart functionality at all, just a product listing page, with our phone number for investors to get in touch with us and place an order.
Real Time Shopping Cart
Well I'm happy to say that not only have a shopping cart, but that it now updates in real-time to reflect the latest spot prices. This means that whether you're browsing at 10 am. or 10 pm, you'll always see the most accurate and competitive prices for your bullion coins and bars.
Investment Recommendation Tool
This handy tool is all about putting you in control. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your portfolio, you simply tell the tool how much you'd like to invest. You can also add preferences:
- VAT-free options
- CGT-free items,
- or even specific metals like gold, silver, or a mix
The tool takes your input and curates a package tailored to your budget and needs. No more guesswork or uncomfortable conversations - just clear, customised options at your fingertips.
Navigating Payments and Delivery
We're also working hard behind the scenes to improve the logistics of purchasing and receiving your bullion. At the moment, we're accepting payments via bank transfer only, as we negotiate terms with payment processors to bring you additional options soon.
Currently, customers looking to spend more than £2,500, will need to collect from our offices in Colchester, Essex. If you are spending less, we can send by Royal Mail Special Delivery up to £2,500.
Shipping high-value packages requires careful coordination, and we're committed to ensuring that your investments arrive safely, and we're finalising plans for fully insured delivery for parcels of larger value.
Why Focus on Pre-Owned Bullion?
We focused on pre-owned bullion because we wanted to improve accessibility to the secondary market for retail investors. When it comes to selling your investment bullion, new becomes pre-owned as soon as it changes hands. The point is simple: pre-owned bullion often represents better value. This approach not only makes investing more cost-effective but also allows us to offer unique items with their own histories. It’s an area we’re passionate about, and we’re excited to expand this offering even further in the months to come.

We are not just about pre-owned though. We also have some exciting partnerships on the horizon, which we hope to unveil in the coming month or so. Through these partnerships, we will be able to present a selection of new, packet-fresh precious metals straight from the manufacturer.
